  • Can we talk candidly for a moment? I am taking a bit of a risk. I am hurling myself at a bit of a “sacred cow” in churchdom, especially among those called to places of influence and authority in the Body of Christ. So here it

  • I recently started buying the “been there” coffee mug series from @starbucks - but it doesn’t matter where I go in life, Tennessee is home and my favorite place to be. As far as I’m concerned, I’m more Tennessean than I am American.

  • Life change I have adopted this year...
I quit drinking sodas years ago. I only drink Sweet Tea in restaurants. So most of my liquid intake was already water, but for the last month I have made the concerted effort to drink a lot more water. Truth is, I am not someone who gets thirsty much. I can do a whole camp service and not even drink one entire bottled water. Therefore, drinking this much water seems like overkill 😂. But I have noticed a difference in my energy, and that has been one of my objectives...more energy.
  • Today I am working through the details of our STL Summit. Today I also have my alarm set at intervals to remind me that everything I am doing today is worship. This may seem like “office work” or “paper work”, but I’ve determined in my life, it will all be worship. As Brother Lawrence said, “I’m practicing the presence of God.”
  • I’m on a pilgrimage, headed to a city whose builder and maker is God.
.
I’m not alone. I’m surrounded by family whose hearts are set the same.
.
I’m accompanied by a Pioneer who forged the path to God’s eternal home.
.
I’m on a pilgrimage, to the place where I belong.
  • One of my favorite things in life these days...sitting on the back deck, with a fire, reading with the boy.
  • Our schools were closed today for “inclement weather conditions” 🤷🏻‍♂️. Me and baby girl took advantage of it and went on a Valentines breakfast date 😊.
